Fickle Geri Halliwell splits from tycoon Politi

Geri Halliwell who got engaged after a whirlwind romance in December has called it off. The 36-year-old Spice Girl – who split from London nightclub owner Nick House in December – met her fiance, Fabrizio Politi, a shipping tycoon, at a Florence nightclub also in December, and the romance quickly blossomed. The wealthy Italian apparently popped the big question over the holidays in his native Italy over Christmas. But according to a source, Halliwell “woke up one morning last week and decided she just wasn’t the marrying type”. Fabrizio is upset but is said to be respectful of Geri’s wishes. Meanwhile her friends are not surprised – “Geri has a track record for getting cold feet.” Geri has has a two-year-old daughter Bluebell with Sacha Gervasi.
