Holly Madison Set to Join ‘Dancing with the Stars’

Published on March 5, 2009 at 8:48 AM

Yesterday it was reported that Holly Madison was ready to fill in on Dancing With the Stars, presumably for Jewel Kilcher who has ailing knees and may not be able to participate. But it’s looking more likely it’s a sure thing, as her Girls Next Door costar, Bridget Marquardt, let the news slip on live TV.

“I’m so excited for her,” Marquardt — who next stars in a Travel Channel show called Bridget’s Sexiest Beaches — told FOX’s Strategy Room Wednesday.

“She’s wanted to do it for so long,” Marquardt added. “It just never worked with her schedule and Hef was always like ‘I don’t want you to do that,’ and now it’s her time, so I’m really happy for her.”

Even with Bridget’s announcements DWTS reps have so far only confirmed that Holly is set to replace Jewel, if she can’t perform, so we’ll have to see what happens.

Presumably Holly is already practicing and will need to play catch up against the other teams who have been working for weeks. But somehow even if her dancing suffers, I think she will get votes the first couple of weeks just on her charm and ‘hot’ factor for fans.

Madison recently split from rebound boyfriend magician Criss Angel, after parting from Hefner.
