About that Bruce Willis lawsuit

Published on March 3, 2009 at 11:54 AM

As you may have read recently, Bruce Willis is being sued by executives at a film company who claim he signed a $200,000 deal to direct new movie, ‘Three Stories About Joan’, starring Owen Wilson and Joe Jonas’ girlfriend Camilla Belle, but quit during filming.

Willis of course has gotten his lawyer involved who says the walkout was due his client not getting paid, and plans to countersue, calling the lawsuit against him “absurd” and “frivolous”.

The Die Hard star’s lawyer, Marty Singer, insists the case is without foundation claiming executives at the companies involved in the film – Foresight Unlimited, Signature Entertainment Group and Three Stories Productions – failed to put funding into an escrow account for Willis before the film started.
He says, “(The claims are) absurd and without merit. Why would you render services knowing you’re not getting paid? “I’ve been practising over thirty years and I can’t think of a more frivolous lawsuit that I’ve ever seen.” Willis’ legal team will launch the countersuit “very shortly”.
