Chris Brown taking anger-management classes before trial starts

Troubled R&B singer Chris Brown, who was arrested two weeks ago after allegedly assaulting his girlfriend Rihanna, attended his first anger-management class in Glendale, Calif., on Monday afternoon according to a new report by the NY Daily News.
While Chris doesn’t actually have to go by law to these classes, it’s likely part of the strategy of his new spin doctor, Michael Sitrick, for public appearances, and to get in a few classes before his March 5,” court date.
Brown has a long uphill battle to change the public fallout of the incident which has also caused his endorsement deals to be suspended, including commercials for Wrigley’s gum and the Milk Mustache campaign. Brown’s songs have also been temporarily taken off the air at a handful of radio stations.
Rihanna is currently in her home in the Barbados, but will be L.A.-bound to testify at Brown’s trial.
NY Daily News insiders speculate that even if Chris is convicted, “it would be his first offense. He won’t go to prison. “
I don’t understand why Chris Brown won’t go to Jail. Assaulting a woman is a serious offense and he in in the public eye so it should have been a bigger deal then the media make. I hope he gets his own back. Even if Rihanna did something wrong in their relationship- a man should never lay his hands on a woman. Chris BRown gets whatever he deserves; which would probably be the title of a woman- beater for the rest of his now falling out career.

To comment on Diamond remark. This is a domestic violence charge, and convicting him would not stop anything thing. What will hurt him most is losing his endorsements and fans. Rhianna is still going to be with him. Everyone always wants jail to be an option and it appears to be ignorance. What happened to other resolution of problems such as counseling. People have this sudden ting that jail solves a problems. JAIL doesn’t do a thing but often make people worst when they come out.
i am a huge fan of chris brown and i dnt think he shud go to jail at all. im not jus saying this cuz im a fan,like yu kno other men smash der wifeey. and they dnt go to jail so why should he? just because hes famous? i think this is soo lame . like it was an acident hes taking anger manegment classes so he dnt do it agen. it was an accident. ri ri knos that im guessing cuz i herd they were still together. i say NO TO JAIL cuz chris is WAY TOO FINE TO GO THERE
Ok ofr one I have read alot of stuff being said about him going to jail or not. I really dont think that he should go to prison per say but something has to be done. He most deff. needs to be seen by a doctor and maybe talk to someone on a weekly. Everyone need to remember that this is something that is learned they just dont do it one day. Chris Brown saw his dad do these things to his mom and so he dose then to his girl. Dose that make it right no not at all. Trust me I have been on the reseving end of the beating before. He has a long road ahead of him and if she stays with him she has one to if not then o well he will have to do it alone. But like I said he need medical help not jail. In my view people that go to jail or prison for something like this go in petty crimenals and come out pros…..
I’d like to respond to “That Good Eve.” Hi there. You mentioned this is what Chris saw his dad do these things to his mom and so he does this to his girl. HOWEVER, I’ve been married for over 30 years now and my husband is one of those men who saw his own father beat his mother. My husband made a vow a long time ago when he saw these things to NEVER PUT HIS HAND ON A WOMAN! I’m telling you this to let you now there is ALWAYS A CHOICE. There is a yes or no, right or wrong. ALWAYS A CHOICE. Chris made the WRONG CHOICE so he needs to pay for his actions, whatever the consequence may be. Rihanna needs to learn from this and move on, as she will never be totally comfortable with him. There will always be a subtle fear that she might not even realize but it will be there, so I say START OVER RIHANNA and MOVE ON!
With every wrong choice there should be forgiveness…..think about that
I agree that jail isn’t always the answer! Even though this case is extremely high profile,it doesn’t make it any different than any other domestic abuse situation. Being famous doesn’t absolve you of any DAMN thing!!!!!! Diamond and Miller, I agree with both of what you have to say. As I said before, jail may not be the answer but it may wake his ASS up to what he has done! As for you Cloud you’re just being infantile!!! An accident may be pushing or hitting you once! Chris Brown blackened both eyes, scratched her face and neck and bit her numerous times!! Now if that sounds like an accident to you, somethings wrong with you!!!! Cuz let me tell you right now….There aint no man out there in this world too fine to put in jail because of puttiing his hands on a woman!!!!!
I totally agree with cloud because Chris Brown will get raped if he goes to jail cause he’s so fine. We are huge fans of Chris Brown he should not go to jail and Rihanna should have spoken about her feelings towards the matter earlier because now Chris Brown’s sentence is gonna be worse which is so not acceptable. I do believe he should see a councillor cause of what happened to him when he was younger, this would be the cause of what he’s done now. He should be able to still get his endorsements and fans (which he will) because if Rihanna doesn’t care then neither should anyone else and besides he’s way more popular than her and she should appreciate who she has coz i sure as hell would and so would pretty much the whole female population under the age of 25 or married or gay or just plain retarded.This all sums up to i luv Chris. if some one had given you herpies. wot would you have done about it? rhannia is just to much of a darmatic drama queen, who wants the spot light to be on her. but chris didnt do the right thing by punching her, but just think wot would your first reaction be
I beleive if a man assaults a woman he should pay for it, it is unacceptable. It is likely the behaviour will be repeated.
