This sounds like a perfect use of his energy and unique talent. Filmmaker Michael Moore believes what has been going on with the American economy has the foul scent of injustice. Moore who’s taken down the government in “Fahrenheit 9/11″ and “Sicko”, has cast his eye toward the titans of Wall Street and has determined that some things went down at America’s banks that were not right. So he’s decided to make a movie about it, a project that investigates Wall Street and the current financial crisis. Moore claims that the project will reveal “the greatest crime story ever told” Last week he posted an open letter on his website calling for volunteers from the beleaguered New York hub to “help expose the biggest swindle in American history”. In the letter, Moore states that “a few good people” have already come forward to assist with the project, but implores more to do so: “The important thing here is for you to step up as an American and do your duty of shedding some light on this financial collapse.”

Wall Street insiders with a conscience and stories to tell him should e-mail bailout@michaelmoore.com. And remember, it’s not for Michael Moore, it’s for America: “You have information that the American people need to hear,” he writes. Moore’s film is slated for release later this year.
