‘Harry Potter’ Stunt Man Paralyzed On Set Of ‘Half Blood Prince’

The 25-year-old stunt double for Harry Potter’s Daniel Radcliffe has been badly injured on set, and is thought to have been paralyzed.
The accident occurred during a scene, in which David Holmes (left) is riding in a harness to appear as though he is ‘flying’, and an explosion occurs nearby. Crewmen believe the explosion caught the harness wrong, and caused the former gymnast to crash to the ground.
“He told crew members who went to help him he couldn’t feel anything from the waist down, a anonymous source said.
“Everyone is just hoping he makes a good recovery. It has come as a terrible shock.”
Mr Holmes was initially taken to A&E at Watford General Hospital, but transferred to a specialist spinal injury hospital when the extent of his injuries became apparent.
Holmes has been working as Radcliff’s stunt double since the fourth Harry Potter movie, ‘Goblet of Fire’. He has been featured on the DVD extras, and was set to finish out the films.
No other details have been released on his condition.
