Mickey Rourke’s spokesman says he is ‘not’ participating in WWE’s Wrestlemania

I don’t know what kind of nonsense this is. After revealing that he would be appearing at  WWE’s Wrestlemania 25, which will be held in Houston, TX on April 5, at the SAG Awards, Mickey Rourke has suddenly backed off. Rourke called out WWE wrestler Chris Jericho at the SAG Awards saying that Jericho “better get in shape” because Rourke is “coming after” his “a**.” Rourke had said he was going to toss Jericho “around the ring like tossed salad.”

Both Rourke and Jericho appeared on Larry King Live last night to seemingly build up the confrontation. Now a spokeswoman for Rourke says he won’t be taking his role as a professional wrestler into a real-life ring after all.

Paula Woods told The Associated Press on Wednesday night that Rourke will not wrestle WWE superstar Chris Jericho at Wrestlemania 25.

Woods wrote in an e-mail that the Oscar-nominated actor “will not be participating in Wrestlemania. He is focusing entirely on his acting career.”

So did Rourke’s people talk some sense into him, did the money fall through or what?
