Desperate Housewives actress Marcia Cross’ husband diagnosed with cancer

Tom Mahoney who is married to actress Marcia Cross has been diagnosed with cancer. Mahoney a stockbroker who married the actress who plays matriarch Bree Van De Kamp in Desperate Housewives in June 2006 after a whirlwind relationship, has been diagnosed with the potentially life-threatening disease and is seeking medical treatment.
Marcia’s representative Heidi Slan said: ‘He is currently under treatment and is responding very well.’

The couple – who have twin 23-month-old daughters, Eden and Savannah – have not released any further details about 50-year-old Tom’s condition. After going through in vitro fertilization to conceive the twins, Cross admitted the couple are considering adopting a third child.

Cross recently spoke of how happy her husband made her: ‘I think that beauty comes from being happy and connected to the people we love. And his love makes me feel beautiful.’  Cross has dealt with serious illness before in a previous relationship. She nursed long-term partner, actor Richard Jordan while he was suffering from a brain tumour until his death in 1993.
