Scarlett Johansson channels Marilyn Monroe for D&G Cosmetics

Scarlett Johansson has been revealed as the new face and body of Dolce & Gabanna cosmetics. The companies fashion designs are worn by the likes of Jennifer Lopez, Gisele Bundchen, Madonna, Monica Bellucci, Ashanti, Michelle Williams, Christina Aguilera, Isabella Rossellini, and Kylie Minogue. But now the Italian fashion house is expanding their offering and they have selected the gorgeous Scarlett Johansson to appear in ads for their new line of cosmetics.
The ads feature Johansson channeling Marilyn Monroe in a glamorous photo shoot sprawled across silk bedsheets. The new line of makeup will launch this spring with the ads appearing in all of the top fashion magazines.
On Friday Stefano Gabbana D&G owner Stefano Gabbana said:
“We see makeup as another thing for women, like a dress. We worked on the makeup line like we work on a clothing collection — you can change makeup like you can change your clothes, depending on your mood.”.
The lipsticks will be scented with rose, Gabbana explained:
“We wanted to create makeup with a scent. Domenico and I remember when we were children and opened our mother’s handbags — the scent of her lipstick trailed out. I observed that when women open makeup, they smell it first.”
Prices will range from $20 for nail lacquer to $59 for powder foundation.
As for the selection of Scarlett Johansson to represent the product line:
“Scarlett is sure of herself. She’s a beautiful girl, but she’s really easy going. She is very Dolce & Gabbana.”


Nope.. too sophiscated, crass and modern. She needs the appealing wide-eye lovely child-like stare and live the quotes; A sex symbol becomes a thing. I just hate to be a thing. No one ever told me I was pretty when I was a little girl. All little girls should be told they’re pretty, even if they aren’t.
No .. it ain’t there.
