66th annual Golden Globe Favorite Moments and Winners

 

Morning folks. Did everyone catch The 66th annual Golden Globes last night? It’s been two years since the stars came out for a Golden Globes ceremony. I thought the 2009 Golden Globes had a few classic moments. Would love to hear what were your favorites? Here are a few of mine.

Tracy Morgan taking the mic to accept the award for best comedy on behalf of the entire “30 Rock” team, with his: “Tina Fey and I had an agreement that if Barack Obama won, I would speak for the show from now on. Welcome to post-racial America. I’m the face of post-racial America. Deal with it, Cate Blanchett. We’d like to thank the Hollywood Foreign Press. Especially me ’cause the black man can’t get no love at the Emmys. I love you, Europe. That’s wasssup.”

Tina Fey’s acceptance speech where after saying what a great year she has tells, “If you ever start to feel too good about yourself, they have this thing called the Internet. You can find a lot of people there who don’t like you.” She then continued by calling these cyberhaters out by name and telling them each to “suck it.”

Ryan Seacrest doing the red carpet coverage on E! running down the stairs of his interview platform to get some face time with the passing Brangelina and not even illicit a glance over the shoulder from them. Ultimately, a red carpet bouncer-type had to shoo Seacrest away.

Mickey Rourke for one of its most profane acceptance speeches in recent history for his best actor award for “The Wrestler,” and called out his director, Darren Aronofsky, for being a “tough son of b*tch”, and Aronofsky responded by flipping Rourke the bird. Wow!

Demi Moore, stepped up to the microphone to present the award for best actor in a drama and reminded daughter Rumer Willis not to “hunch” and to keep her shoulders back, Rumer did as Demi said, all while smiling. I thought it was a nice moment.

Sacha Baron Cohen noted that even Madonna had taken heed of these hard economic times and dumped one of her many assistants — “Guy Ritchie.”
