Taylor Lautner Coming Back for Twilight Sequel!

This should make most Twilight fans happy judging by the comments we’ve gotten. Taylor Lautner will be back to play Jacob Black for the Twilight sequel New Moon. Questions arose about whether the 16-year-old could effectively portray his werewolf character, who ages 10 years and grows much taller and bulkier in the film’s sequel. Rumor was that actor Michael Copon, 26, was a rival for the role.

New director Chris Weitz announced in a statement Jan. 7: “It was my first instinct that Taylor was, is, and should be Jacob. He is emotionally right for the part” and has the movie studio’s full support.”

Word is Taylor’s been working hard in the gym to build muscle. The growing taller part is out of his control but special effects and makeup can do wonders for aging and looking larger.
