Porn industry seeks stimulus package from Congress

Just writing the title of this story makes me smile. (don’t judge, it’s early).  The adult smut industry claims the economy has made their business ‘go limp’ and are reaching out to Congress for ‘a hand’ to help prop them up. Kind of making Congress a bunch of fluffers?

TMZ is reporting that Hustler’s Larry Flynt and “Girls Gone Wild” creator Joe Francis are asking for a $5 billion federal bailout of the adult entertainment industry because “the economy has made America’s appetite for sex go limp.”

Porn may not be as recession-proof as originally thought, as apparently adult DVD sales are down 22 percent in a year. Perhaps that explains why a man link here is breaking into sex shops to spend some sexy time with their blow-up dolls?  Probably not but anyway the story is after the more below:

A string of break-ins at sex shops in Australia are believed to have been committed by the same unknown assailant, who steals ‘Jungle Jane’ sex dolls, and leaves them ‘used and abused’ in nearby alleys.

The man responsible has broken into two different stores at various times, breaking his way through the walls of ceiling, and cleaning up after himself, before taking various dolls. Nothing else was stolen, although it has been possible linked to other break-ins that led to money being stolen from the register.

The owners are perplexed by the crimes, and are eager to find the criminal.

“He has been taking the dolls out the back and blowing them up and using the dolls and leaving them in the alley,” Vogue, one of the owners, told reporters. “It is totally bizarre. It is a real concern that someone like that is out on the street.”

Only glimpses of the thief have been caught on camera, as the assailant has a habit of removing the cameras and throwing then into garbage cans. The images they have managed to catch show a tall, thin white man, and while he has left DNA evidence at the scene each time, after using the stolen dolls, no suspects have been named.
