Dancing With the Stars pros Karina Smirnoff and Maksim Chmerkovskiy are engaged to marry.
Maksim proposed to Karina on New Year’s Eve according to E! Online. Their romance mostly flew under the radar, but the, 28-year-old Maksim revealed that he and co-worker Karina Smirnoff started seeing each other shortly after Misty May-Treanor’s injury, in November.
The two have reportedly known each other for 15 years. They have been recently spending time together on tour and the betrothal came between DWTS gigs in Salt Lake City and Tulsa, Okla.
The announcement comes six months after Smirnoff and former partner Mario Lopez ended their two-year relationship.
That seems fast but good for them. They both seem like sweet people. After being hurt and cheated on, Karina deserves to be happy. Eat your heart out Mario Lopez.
