John Travolta’s son has died in tragic accident

John Travolta’s 16-year-old son, Jett, has died in a tragic  accident in the Bahamas, according to TMZ. The actor and his family were on vacation at the Old Bahama Bay hotel.  A police spokeswoman says Jett hit his head in a bathtub reportedly after having a seizure.

Travolta, 54, and Preston, 46, were married in September 1991 and Jett was born the following April. There have been reports that Jett was autistic, though Travolta has denied it, saying he suffers from Kawasaki Syndrome, a condition which often leads to heart disease. The couple also has an 8-year-old daughter, Ella Bleu.

Travolta’s attorney Michael Ossi says Jett suffered a seizure at his family’s vacation home at the Old Bahama Bay Hotel on Grand Bahama Island apparently after falling and striking his head in a bathtub. Attempts to revive him were unsuccessful and he died on scene. Our thoughts and prayers go out the family.
