Jennifer Lopez’s marriage to Marc Anthony on the rocks?

Posted on December 17th, 2008 by Hot Momma

Jennifer Lopezs marriage to Marc Anthony on the rocks?US Weekly claims in their forthcoming cover story that Jennifer Lopez’s third marriage to Marc Anthony is on shaky ground. Apparently the magazine  eagerly started digging dirt after some recent incidents including J.Lo showing up to the premiere of The Curious Case of Benjamin Button last week without her 8-carat diamond engagement ring, wedding band or usually present husband. Meanwhile Marc Anthony was spotted in Las Vegas sans wedding band the weekend before partying with pal Eva Longoria Parker and Russell Crowe.

The magazine’s sources have lined up to give the dirty details:

a close Anthony pal tells: “They both didn’t wear their rings on purpose. “Nothing Jennifer does is without purpose.”

“He’s very, very controlling of her. The skirts aren’t as short. You don’t see so much of that booty anymore.” The new Us Weekly also reports that Anthony also picks out Lopez’s clothes and keeps tabs on her phone calls.

The sources further claim J.Lo’s not content being a Long Island housewife and blames Marc for her career faltering even though they just renewed their wedding vows in October. You have to always take these stories with a grain of salt, but what is always amusing is to see how rival magazines respond.

People Magazine has an article running today ‘Jennifer Lopez & Marc Anthony Enjoy a Date Night Out.’ The mag always seems quick to trot out stories like this or print denials from reps protecting their beleaguered stars (the Madonna divorce rumors some months back come to mind). This is I believe their not so subtle way to discredit their rivals big story, until they can get the scoop themselves. It’s a win-win for them because at the same time they get brownie points with the stars and their reps.
