Scarlet Johansson, who is usually very private talks about being a newlywed with husband Ryan Reynolds for the new issue of U.K. Cosmopolitan, saying it’s “a very beautiful time for me.”

Scarlet shares:

“Getting married is a huge moment in anyone’s life, and the few months leading up to it were a little crazy. But Ryan and I are in love, and we’re enjoying evolving our relationship together. I feel that my life and my work are heading in the right direction.”

So what does she find endearing about her new hubby?

According to Scarlet, Reynolds “has a very romantic side. We both enjoy remembering little things that made us happy – for me, that’s what romance is all about. My mom is a romantic person, and I think I inherited it from her. He’s very thoughtful and taught me there are many different ways you can be romantic.”

And could Scarlet be moving to Canada (where Reynolds was born), anytime soon?

She’d apparently like to spend some more time there. She says, it’s “such a beautiful country and the people are so friendly. I might get through immigration faster now, too!”

Looking back on old romances Johnasson who has dated Jared Leto and Josh Harnett admits that prior to meeting Reynolds she was “in situations before where a guy hasn’t been into me.

“It’s either they don’t want to commit or put in the effort, or they’re too involved in their own thing,” she says. “You don’t always meet the right person at the right time, and I think it’s important for people to figure out their own lives before involving someone else – to gauge where you are and work on your own issues.”

And for Scarlet the most romantic thing about love:

“Is seeing people who’ve been together, or who’ve known each other, for a long time – like two best friends, or a husband and wife who’ve been together for 50 years, and are still so excited to see that person come home.
