Real Jessica Alba would have been just fine!
These before airbrushing & after photos are from the Campari campaign. It really wasn’t necessary to mess much with the original photos, but the Photoshop artistes were determined to take a healthy beautiful women and turn her into their idea of perfection. Brightening up the first photo so you can see her face and body in better light is fine but some of the other stuff is ridiculous truthfully.

Picture 1: Note slimmed torso, a few removed ribs, leaner waist, narrower hips, somebody else’s knees, thinner legs! Check out photo 2, after the jump:

Picture 2:
Ok now let’s make Jessica taller, slim those arms, legs, waist and hips, and they create the usual Hollywood distortion that makes women self-conscious about their bodies?

To some extent I feel like these ads are a kind of hyper reality that are intended to look slightly unreal, thus I’m a little forgiving on the distortions, but the waist part is pretty ridiculous. It’s not like a magazine cover, but yeah, a little too much.
Such a shame that they feel the need to airbrush a perfectly normal waistline and thighs!
Finally someone that says she’s just fine the way she is! Thank you!
