British singer BOY GEORGE  real name George O’Dowd, is facing a possible jail sentence after he was found guilty of falsely imprisoning a male escort at his home in London. The former Culture Club frontman was convicted of chaining Audun Carlsen to a hook in a bedroom at his east London apartment after suspecting him of tampering with his computer. His lawyer told the court the popstar had gained so much weight since the 1980s that he would not have stood a chance against his alleged victim, a six-foot tall fit male escort Audun Carlsen.

Carlsen accused the singer of beating him with a metal chain as he tried to escape from the property. The model had earlier posed for naked photos at the apartment – but fell out with O’Dowd when the singer accused him of trying to get copies of the pictures from his computer. O’Dowd admitted handcuffing Carlsen but claimed he had a legitimate reason to detain the model.

But the jury at London’s Snaresbrook Crown Court wan’t buying it and returned the guilty verdict today. Judge David Radford told O’Dowd: “This is a case where custody is the more likely option.”  The singer is due to be sentenced on January 16 (09).
