Oprah Winfrey talks about Sarah Palin not appearing on her show

Oprah Winfrey talks about Sarah Palin not appearing on her showTalk show queen Oprah Winfrey spoke out regarding rumors that Sarah Palin wasn’t invited as a guest on her talk show. The chatshow queen says that the former Republican vice-presidential candidate snubbed offers to be interviewed on the TV titan’s show. Palin discussed her unsuccessful bid to reach the White House with U.S. hosts Matt Lauer, Greta Van Susteren and Larry King, but failed to appear as a guest on Winfrey’s popular daytime TV show – despite being invited.

Oprah was a staunch supporter of U.S. President-elect Barack Obama throughout his campaign for the White House – and will host her show from Washington, D.C. the day before his inauguration in January (09).  At the beginning of the presidential campaign, Oprah took the public stance not to interview candidates during the election. Oprah came under some criticism for having Obama on her show prior to making the stance.

But Winfrey might hold some leverage now, after being allegedly ignored by Palin – insisting the Alaskan governor will be desperate to talk to her when she releases her memoirs. She told Extra: “I said I would be happy to talk to Sarah Palin when the election was over… I went and tried to talk to Sarah Palin and instead she talked to Greta. She talked to Matt. She talked to Larry. But she didn’t talk to me. Maybe she’ll talk to me now that she has a (multi-million dollar) book deal.”

I am guessing Palin will still pass on speaking with Oprah in the near future.

Oprah and Palin should be able to like whoever they want to like… bad that’s pretty much impossible if they want to maintain their approval ratings
