Creepy storyline, melodramatic performances, atmospheric interiors, adventurous music score. movie, sounds like a job for the dynamic duo of Tim Burton and Johnny Depp. According to legendary producer Richard D. Zanuck, Tim is set to direct Johnny in their ongoing collaboration for the film adaptation of the late 60-s ‘gothic’ TV soap opera, Dark Shadows, that he’s overseeing. “Dark Shadows” is going to be Tim’s next project after “Alice in Wonderland” and they’ll be shooting it next summer in London according to movie news site Collider! Their paths first crossed in 1990’s “Edward Scissorhands” when Burton cast Depp in his first leading role following his teen idol success on the TV series “21 Jump Street.” Since then Depp and Burton have teamed up in other quirky films including Ed Wood, Sleepy Hollow, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, the animated Corpse Bride, and Sweeney Todd.
