Heidi Montag’s mom gives the ‘fake’ marriage 6 months before it’s over

And now for some non celebrity news. Heidi Montag’s mom Darlene Egelhoff, 46, who famously fought with Spencer Pratt on The Hills: is devastated her daughter has now sorta married her sort-of new monster in law. Montag, 22, blew off Thanksgiving with her family to stay with Pratt in Cabo San Lucas, the site of her Nov. 20 elopement. Heidi-ho didn’t want her mom present at her nuptials because she was “starting so much drama.”
Egelhoff tells Heidi and Spencer’s defacto publicity agent Us Weekly: “I’ve been honest with Heidi, and it’s caused our relationship to decline. I’m more devastated about that than the marriage, because I’m confident the marriage won’t work out.” The thing is, it’s already been revealed that the ceremony wasn’t legal and likely another publicity stunt, so mom shouldn’t sweat it too much yet about the married part.
But that aside Egelhoff who divorced Montag’s dad when she was just 3 and admits she rushed into things too – did have some pointed comments about the pretend wedding.
“I think it’s the biggest mistake Heidi’s ever made. He’s manipulative and seems to have power over Heidi. Spencer has tried to cut everyone out of her life. I would like to see a blood test from Mexico. It wouldn’t surprise me if he had her drugged.”
Egelhoff adds: “God says love your enemies, but I never expected it to be my son-in-law.”
So how long does she give their marriage? “Six months,” she says. Well if they do ever really marry I think Heidi’s mom is probably going to be right on all counts.
