Madonna and Alex Rodriguez were both spotted in Mexico City last weekend and it making the headlines . The two have not confirmed their romance and that seems to not sit well with the press who is determined to prove they are a couple.
It’s no big surprise that these two want to keep their romance on the down-low given the fallout their alleged dalliance has already had. Rodriguez and his wife divorced in September, months after he made tabloid headlines for a rumored, but denied, affair with Madonna. And less than four weeks later, Madge and filmmaker husband Guy Ritchie announced their own split after nearly eight years of marriage.
Now the press is watching and reporting their every move. When, the Yankees third baseman handed Madonna a water bottle during her Miami concert Nov. 26, it was reported as their public “coming out.” Lol! They also apparently met up on Thanksgiving, after Rodriguez fulfilled his family obligations to thunderous press coverage.
So now they were also spotted in the same city, wow! The 50-year-old Madonna – whose divorce from Guy Ritchie was finalized just days ago – was in town to perform a pair of concerts on her “Sticky & Sweet” tour. Rodriguez, meanwhile, was invited to inaugurate a new sports complex in the city, and spent two hours on Sunday teaching kids to bat.
When asked what he thought about being in the capital city the same time as his rumored lover, the A-Rod would only say it was “very good,” the Associated Press reports. Well stop the presses! This is getting as silly as trying to prove Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson are lovers. It’s kind of obvious right?
