‘CSI’ Star Marg Helgenberge Splits With Her Husband of Nearly 20 Years

CSI star Marg Helgenberger and actor husband Alan Rosenberg have separated after nearly 20 years of marriage. Marg’s spokeperson gave the usual scripted statement on Monday:
“After 19 years of marriage, Marg and Alan have decided to take some time apart. They love and respect each other and remain committed to their family.”
Helgenberger who turned 50 two weeks ago, and Rosenberg, 57, have an 18-year-old son. The two met when they were both appearing on the soap opera Ryan’s Hope. Helgenberger has moved from their Santa Monica home to a larger one in Beverly Hills. She married the 56 year-old actor in 1989 and they have an 18-year-old son. Though both homes belong to her, she is allowing Rosenberg to stay put until they sort things out.
Rosenberg has guest-starred on his wife’s show, and has also appeared on House and Numb3rs. Rosenberg has been under stress recently as president of the 120,000-member Screen Actors Guild, which is at an impasse in contract negotiations with the studios, with the possibility of a strike looming.
