Paul Newman’s Last Will Revealed

A legal will filed in Connecticut and signed April 11 2008, made public this week shows that Paul Newman, who died this past September following a long battle with cancer, left most of his personal property, including real estate, to Joanne Woodward. Newman left his Oscars to his foundation and his plane and race cars to the highest bidder.
The 10-time Academy Award nominee, who won one Oscar and took home two honorary ones, left those statues and other awards to the Newman’s Own Foundation. Interest in Newman’s Own and Salad King also went to the foundation, which will distribute all profits to charity.
The will also directed that his airplane and race cars be sold, with proceeds going to his estate. Newman and the foundation funded by his food company have given more than 250 million US dollars to charity over the years.
