Boris Becker Dumped By Fiancee Via Text Message
Former German tennis star Boris Becker thought the score was love but suddenly found out it was game, set and match in his latest romance. In a blow that “trampled on my soul,” the six-time Grand Slam singles champion, and Olympic gold medalist, Boris Becker was dumped by his fiancee Sandy Meyer-Woelden via text message, revealed in comments published on Friday. 40-year-old Becker told the Bild daily:
“On Friday evening, October 31, I suddenly got an SMS from Sandy .. saying that this was it, that this over. To make sure how serious she was she sent me five others saying the same thing.”
“I was completely surprised,” said Becker, who who has been linked to a string of different women since his 2001 divorce from Barbara Feltus, with whom he had two sons.
Becker rocketed to worldwide fame in 1985 when at 17 he became the youngest player ever to win the Wimbledon men’s singles title. His latest ex, Meyer-Woelden, is 15 years his junior and is the daughter of his late trainer.
