Fans hold candlelight vigil outside Hudson homeHundred of fans  reportedly gathered outside of Jennifer Hudson’s childhood home in Chicago, Illinois last Monday evening to hold a candlelight vigil following the brutal slaying of her mother, brother and nephew.

Family friends joined the group of fans and strangers outside the makeshift memorial on South Yale Avenue, where people had left cards, balloons, stuffed animals and photos of the victims. They showed their support for the star through prayer and song, including a rendition of Hudson’s hit song Spotlight.

Sadly as we reported, Chicago police discovered the body of seven-year-old Julian King in the back of the searched for white SUV in the city on Monday morning.
Julian, the son of Hudson’s sister Julia, went missing from the family’s home in the city on Friday following the murder of Hudson’s mother Darnell Donerson and her brother Jason Hudson.
The body was reportedly identified by the star on Monday afternoon - just hours after she had offered a $100,000  cash reward for his safe return.

Hudson’s estranged brother-in-law William Balfour remains in custody by police as the primary suspect in the murders, although he’s yet to be charged. Meanwhile, bosses at Fox Studios for Hudson’s latest movie The Secret Life of Bees - have issued a statement addressing the tragic deaths.
It reads: “Everyone at Fox Searchlight and Twentieth Century Fox wishes to extend our deepest condolences to Jennifer and her family. Our thoughts are with them in this time of profound sadness.”
