Britney Spears to appear on Good Morning America – her trial is deadlocked

The ‘trial of the century’ (Britney Spears driving without a valid license case) is in it’s second day of deliberationswithout a verdict.

Jurors left for the day after saying earlier in the day that they were hopelessly deadlocked. A foreman said they had voted three times since Friday, and each time failed to reach an unanimous conclusion.

The three votes were all 10 to 2, the foreman said without indicating whether which way.
Superior Court Judge James A. Steele asked the panel to take one more vote and try to make progress. Great way to spend the tax payers money?

There was no mention during the trial of the accident that led to the charges, as agreed by the defense and prosecution attorneys. Spears hasn’t appeared in court and didn’t testify during the trial. If Spears is found guilty, she faces a maximum of six months in jail and $1,000 fine.

Meanwhile Britney is gearing up her comeback with a scheduled live performance on her birthday in Bryant Park on Good Morning America (GMA) on Dec. 2 to promote her new album and single, “Womanizer.” Sources said, “Everybody wanted her – she was the big get – but ‘GMA’ and ABC outfoxed ‘Today’ and NBC.” While Spears has yet to decide if she’ll do an interview, she’s also coming out with an MTV special in which she talks about her trying last two years. NBC suits are said to be “fuming” at losing Spears.
