Billie Piper and new son doing fine after emergency cesarean

“Dr. Who” actress Billie Piper gave birth in London today via an emergency C-section. The BBC reports that 26-year-old Billie delivered a boy weighing in at 6lb 11oz. Billie and her husband Laurence Fox have named their kid Winston James Fox.  What’s with the normal name, hasn’t Billie read her celebrity manual?

Laurence revealed his wife had been in labor for 26 hours before going to hospital. He said:

“The emergency cesarean only took about 20 minutes. Billie is happy. Of course she is, she’s a mum. I am tired but not as tired as her – I am a proud father.”

Asked when his wife would be out of hospital, he said: “Well, she has been cut apart, so probably overnight. I will be with her for the length of it.”
