Steven Soderbergh has reportedly just plucked Sasha Grey, out of the porn film business and cast her as the lead in his feature film “The Girlfriend Experience.” Sasha will not have to step to far out of characteras she will play a high-priced call girl, in the low-budget movie that is shooting in NYC right now.

20-year-old Sasha has only been in the porn game for 2 years, but in that time, she has been called the next “Jenna Jameson” and won an AVN award for female performer of the year. In addition to her porn career, she’s also done some modeling, a few music videos and small roles in indie films “Quit” and Canadian horror project “Smash Cut.”

After turning Homer’s epic poem “The Iliad” into the 2004 film “Troy,” Warner Bros. and Brad Pitt are reportedly teaming with George Miller to adapt the Greek poet’s other masterwork,”The Odyssey,” to film. Pitt as you recall played Achilles in the Wolfgang Petersen-directed “Troy,” a global blockbuster that David Benioff adapted from “The Iliad.”  Both Homer poems dealt with the Trojan War; “The Odyssey” focused on the exploits of Odysseus, who hatched the idea to build the Trojan Horse. “The Odyssey” deals with his long journey home after he declines to become a god. For this adaption the intention is to transfer the tale to a futuristic setting in outer space.

Being the hot commodity he is Pitt has many films lined up and may be adding to his busy schedule by playing ball for Columbia. Steve Zaillian has signed on to adapt Michael Lewis’ nonfiction bestseller “Moneyball: The Art of Winning an Unfair Game,” and David Frankel is attached to direct. Project is being developed as a potential starring vehicle for Brad Pitt.

Pitt will next be seen in the David Fincher-directed “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button” and the Terrence Malick-directed “Tree of Life.” He just began shooting the Quentin Tarantino-directed “Inglourious Basterds.”

Miller remains attached to direct the long delayed “Justice League” at WB.
