Published on October 15, 2008 at 10:31 AM

After much speculation about the mystery illness that caused her to cancel a string of tour dates — it has been revealed that Janet Jackson has been suffering from migraines. Janet was forced to cancel/reschedule nine shows – in Montreal, Philadelphia, Boston, Greensboro, N.C., Atlanta, Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Uncasville, Conn., Verona, N.Y., and Manhattan.  Janet’s rep said in a statement that her client was suffering from vestibular migraines, an unusual condition that creates the sensation of vertigo.

The 42-year-old  “Together Again” singer has not performed since falling ill Sept. 29 during a sound check before a show in Montreal.   Jackson will be returning to her Rock Witchu tour tonight, Wednesday, at the Verizon Center in Washington, D.C.  Tickets to the canceled shows will be honored at later dates.
