Dancing with the Stars: It should have been Cloris Leachman (again) but Kim Kardashian left the door open

Somehow foul-mouthed Cloris Leachman was spared another week (you people voting know who you are) and the next weakest dance link Kim Kardashian was let go. Some would disagree with me that Rocco DiSpirito should have gotten the ax after a poor dance Monday. But Roco has had a good dance or two in past performances and he engages the audience when he dances.
Kim on the other hand gave the same wooden performance 3 straight times at least far as the judges were concerned. For someone so in the spotlight it was surprising to see how she struggled to come out of her shell, emote on stage and connect with the audience.
In an interesting twist as other couples were announced to be safe, it eventually came down to Kim and her partner Mark Ballas up against Cloris and her partner, Corky, who is Mark Ballas’ father. And in the end (no pun intended), Kim took the news like a champ, mentioning it was the fifth anniversary of her own father’s death, and she was sure he’d be proud of her.
“This was a huge challenge for me. Every dance was a huge accomplishment for me and I did the best I could. And this was the best experience of my life.”
Kim also tells that she wants to take dancing lessons with Karina in the future so she can learn more.
Also Kim set the record straight Tuesday after a seemingly innocent blog post on her part, sparked mass speculation from her friends and family.
She blogged Monday that her “hubby” Reggie Bush would be rooting her on from home since he couldn’t be at her show that night, leading some to believe that the two had married.
According to Kim, “My cousin CiCi called me and asked if Reggie and I got married because she saw ‘hubby’ written here on my blog!”
But it was just a false alarm. Kim wrote, “No we aren’t married or even engaged, just wanted a different word for boyfriend, its that simple!”
Back to the show again. Though she and partner Mark Ballas concluded the show with a playful rendition of one of their earlier dances, once the cameras were off Kardashian rushed to the waiting arms of her family and immediately broke down into tears.
“What can I say… I am obviously sad to go,” Kardashian blogged on her Web site today, “but I am more sad to not be seeing this amazing cast that really has grown so close together.”
