Heather Locklear arrested on suspicion of driving while impaired

Two months after leaving an Arizona rehab facility, Heather Locklear was arrested yesterday on suspicion of driving while impaired. The actress, who had been battling anxiety and depression (or alcohol and prescription-pill dependency) depending on who you believe, was arrested in Santa Barbara County, according to the California Highway Patrol. A resident reported Heather was “driving erratically” while pulling out of a parking lot. The California Highway Patrol then found Locklear’s car parked on a state highway and blocking a lane. Law enforcement officers said alcohol was not involved, however they are conducting tests to determine if Locklear was under the influence of drugs. TMZ reports she was released on her own recognizance, without having to post bail. And as they point out, this could set up a bizarre custody battle given that Locklear and ex hubby Richie Sambora have both been busted for similar charges recently.
