Miley Cyrus’ discontent with “Hannah Montana” likely overblown

Rumors have been circulating that Miley Cyrus wants out of her hit Disney show, “Hannah Montana.” According to TMZ, sources say Miley is acting like a brat, showing up late to the set and pissing off the cast and crew. They also claim Billy Ray has told people on the set that they’re only going to do twelve more episodes and then they’re out. Supposedly Disney had to insist that they finish the twenty-four episode season and in addition do another six episodes as well. It would be natural for Miley to want to move onto bigger and better things sooner or later but I am doubting this power play happened. With Disney’s help Miley recently signed on to star in a flick the mouse network is putting together just for her. It will be based on an upcoming novel by author Nicholas Sparks. The project came about after a Disney exec met with their teen star, who is looking to broaden her image and transitioning to adult fare. So while Miley is showing some growing pains it seems that Disney is happy to work with her to keep her happy. Anyway Miley is now denying the rumors of discontent saying:

“I am fully committed to Hannah Montana. It’s what gave me this amazing opportunity to reach out to so many people. I’m really excited about our new season. We are making great new episodes that I can’t wait for our fans to see and I’m looking forward to the ‘Hannah Montana’ movie that will be out in the spring.”
