David Duchovny enters rehab to control his sexual urges

X-Files actor David Duchovny has entered rehab to apparently get control of his sexual urges. David, who is famously married to Tea Leoni, has a sex addiction, according to his lawyer, Stanton Stein, who passed the following statement to People Magazine on behalf of his client. Duchovny says, “I have voluntarily entered a facility for the treatment of sex addiction. I ask for respect and privacy for my wife and children as we deal with this situation as a family.”
In one of those life imitating art situations, the 48-year-old, who wed actress Leoni in 1997, plays a sex-loving author in his raunchy hit U.S. cable show Californication. While people hardly blink an eye these days toward celebrities who check into rehab for drug and alcohol depression, this situation is likely to have pundits speculating and ridiculing. Frankly I feel to embarrassed right now for the family, to do either. Duchovny and Leoni have two children – Madelaine West, nine, and Kyd, six.
