OJ Simpson on the wrong side of family altercation

Cops were at OJ Simpson’s Florida home this past Sunday to investigate a reported brawl. Apparently, there was a family altercation that took place but it was OJ that apprarently took the brunt of it.

Eldest daughter, Arnelle Simpson, 39, reportedly knocked her dad OJ down to the ground, after she got into an argument with his current girlfriend, Christie Prody and he tried to intervene.

A NY Daily News source says, “Arnelle had a fight with Christie over Christie’s behavior. That’s what started the whole thing. Christie has some problems with drinking, and Arnelle got mad. O.J. said ‘Don’t talk to her like that,’ and Arnelle pushed him.”

That’s when the cops were called. And although the police report doesn’t mention the fall, a source says O.J. was “cut on the back of his head, blood was coming out the side of his mouth and his lip was cut.”

Besides the cut on the back of his head the injury to his lip sounds like an injury consistant with getting punched and then falling back, not getting pushed down.

But those kinds of inconsistancies seem to happen with OJ. Earlier this year, OJ’s girlfriend Prody was hospitalized with head injuries consistent with assault, though O.J. claims she was drunk and fell.

And according to the recent police report, the situation ended when Arnelle agreed to leave “in order to let things calm down.”

According to The National Enquirer who first reported this family brawl, the motivation for the hostilities run deep. Arnelle is “furious” with her dad for giving Prody money and not helping out her mom, who has to work at a WalMart to survive. Arnelle’s mom, Marquerite Whitely, was O.J.’s first wife for 12 years.

The report also states that Arnelle was still resentful of O.J. for “ditching” her mom to marry Nicole Brown Simpson. Given how things worked out for Nicole perhaps OJ leaving was a blessing for Marquerite?
