Details of now free Mackenzie Phillips’ arrest

Mackenzie Phillips is now free from jail after her half sister (photo on right) Bijou Phillips posted bail on the second attempt. If you haven’t heard the story yet, Mackenzie tried to get heroin and coke past security at LAX yesterday.
TMZ has a few more details on Mackenzie’s initial arrest. While going through security, Mackenzie set off the metal detector, which proved to be her downfall. A TSA employee who didn’t suspect drugs, started to pat her down, but Mackenzie became antsy and wouldn’t cooperate. They sat her down and that’s when a balloon of cocaine fell out through her pant leg. Cops then found heroin and other paraphernalia, including 34 syringes in her bag. Party much? That’s when “Phillips then spontaneously said “I’m holding” slang for saying she has drugs.
After Mackenzie was arrested, a police officer performed a strip search and found her arms covered in track marks. She was asked if she had Diabetes and she responded, “No, I am healthy except for my drug problem.”
Bijou Phillips and her boyfriend Danny Masterson were quick to respond, offering to post the $10,000 bond that first day but were turned down. Mackenzie reportedly said she didn’t have any money to pay them back and just wants to sit in jail. I guess a night cold turkey in jail changed her mind.
