Cher ‘to play Catwoman’ in next Batman film??

I got to say, as far as rumors go I don’t think people are trying very hard anymore. The Dark Knight, has become the most successful of the Batman movies. Warner Bros expects the film to make about $530m and speculation has been crazy about who would take a turn as the next villain. Rumors were recently flying that Angelina Jolie was interested in pouring into Catwoman’s tights. But the Daily Telegraph claims Cher who is 62-year-old is in talks to play Catwoman opposite Christian Bale in the third Batman film from British director Christopher Nolan.
They further claim she will join a cast that includes Johnny Depp as The Riddler as she plays the whip-carrying burglar. The character has been played previously by Michelle Pfeiffer and Halle Berry.
Supposedly a studio executive said: “Cher is Nolan’s first choice to play Catwoman. He wants to her to portray her like a vamp in her twilight years.
“The new Catwoman will be the absolute opposite of Michelle Pfeiffer and Halle Berry’s purring creations.”
Cher kind of has the Catwoman look even without the costume and is an award winning actress, but would they dare to make such a huge departure in the character? Filming of the new Batman, working title ‘The Caped Crusader’, is due to begin in Vancouver early next year.

I am surprised at everyone who is running this story. Even reputable news is going with this crazy rumor started on the internet in some ridiculous chat room weeks ago. There is no chance Cher, someone old enough to be Bale’s grandmother is going to be cast as Catwoman. Maybe there is some dinner theater in the midwest she is planning to costar with adam west? There is no Riddler or Johnny Depp either. Chris Nolan is STILL on vacation, and there have been no talks about anything. There is NO working title to this non existent shooting in Vancouver either. Vancouver??? When did BB or TDK shoot there???
Wow…it’s seeing things like this proliferate that make George Bush’s last election so much more understandable….people are soo goddamn stuuupid.
