Nicolas Cage joins another Marvel comic-book based movie “Kick-Ass”

More Marvel action for comic book affectionado Nicolas Cage. He joins British actor Aaron Johnson and Lyndsy Fonseca (”How I Met Your Mother”) to star in “Kick-Ass,” Matthew Vaughn’s adaptation of the violent Mark Millar Marvel comic-book series.
‘Kick-Ass’ centers on a high school dweeb named Dave Lizewski who decides to become a superhero even though he has no athletic ability or coordination. Things change though when he runs into real bad guys with real weapons.
Johnson plays the dweeb – title character, and Fonseca plays the object of the teen’s infatuation, who believes that Dave is gay. Cage who starred in Marvel Comics Ghost Rider, takes the role of a former cop who wants to bring down a druglord and has trained his daughter (Chloe Moretz) to be a lethal weapon.
Cage next appears in the crime drama “Bangkok Dangerous.” Lionsgate has no plans to show Bangkok Dangerous to critics in advance, which means no way for critics to warn you if it’s bad so beware. The movie opens on September 5th.
