Jodie Foster could face $25 million dollar palimony suit

According to the National Enquirer via Defamer, Jodie Foster could lose up to a quarter of her fortune, an estimated $25 million in alimony.

Ever since she left her partner of 14 years back in May, Cydney Bernard, for writer and producer Cynthia Mort, Foster has been trying to play nice. She’s even supposedly trying to have Cydney and Cynthia be friends. We’re thinking that’s probably not going to work out so well.

The source says, “She wants them to be friends. Jodie realizes that if Cydney perceives them to be one big happy family, she’d never sue for half her assets.”

Jodie is currently worth around $100 million. But half of that she earned while she was with Cydney! So legally, Cydney could ask for half of those $50 mill and she might get it if she sues.

So Jodie is allegedly trying to play nice, allowing Cydney to live for free at one of Foster’s homes. She also gets invited to parties at Foster’s house and visits with her sons that she helped raise. Jodie’s also reportedly paying a six figure sum per yearto Cydney.

Cydney so far has spared the Oscar-winner from the embarrassment of a public custody squabble, so perhaps she’ll continue to take the high road?
