Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi marry in intimate ceremony

Capitalizing on the recent changes in California law, Ellen DeGeneres and Portia DeRossi have become lawfully wedded wives. A small group of less than 30 close friends and family, all dressed in summer formal attire, arrived at Ellen’s posh $29 million home Saturday evening at around 6:30 p.m. No celebrity guests were spotted entering all day. The couple purchased their 8,500-square-foot Cabrillo Drive home last year. They now own three adjoining pieces of property in their canyon enclave, making for an ulta-private abode.
Both DeGeneres, 50, and de Rossi, 35,wore Zac Posen and exchanged rings by Neil Lane during the Saturday ceremony. The couple have been together since December 2004. On May 15, the day after the California Supreme Court struck down a ban on gay marriage by ruling it unconstitutional, DeGeneres announced on her show in May that she and de Rossi were planning to tie the knot.
