Britney Spears’ interview with OK! Magazine

In her first interview in two years, Britney Spears tells OK! Magazine she was “shocked” to find out her younger sister was pregnant. Jamie Lynn Spears gave birth to her first daughter, Maddie, with her boyfriend Casey Aldridge in June (08). Britney tells of her delight at becoming an aunt - and also of her shock when she discovered that her 16-year-old sister was having a baby:
“That was special, but it was also strange because she’s always been the baby. And now the baby was having a baby.. I was shocked a little bit. It was mind-boggling.
Spears believes her sister’s baby will bring her family closer together: “I’m sure the boys will be like big brothers to Maddie.”
Britney also tells that her new album slated to hit stores in six to nine months, is “more urban,” and she’s writing music every day at the “piano in this living room.” But Brit doesn’t want her boys involved in the business, because she wants them to “have a more normal childhood.”
Brit’s dad was also interviewed for the exclusive story and tells OK! that his daughter’s downward spiral in recent years ultimately helped to heal the bonds between the singer and her parents, Lynne and Jamie Spears.
“God has a way of taking something bad and turning it into something good,” explains Jamie, who also spoke exclusively to OK!. “If this hadn’t happened, I would never have been able to get back with my daughter and have this relationship I have with these two little boys.”
