Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon celebrate with a lavish post wedding party

Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon have surprised us again. The newlyweds originally married under-the-radar in the Bahamas in April in an intimate ceremony with family, after a six-week whirlwind romance. Since then rumor was that Mariah has been anxious to celebrate their union with a lavish ceremony with friends. Well according to the New York Post, Carey’s post-wedding fantasy was finally realized after Def Jam Records chairman L.A. Reid put together a party at his Long Island, New York home on Saturday August 8th. Mariah and Nick reportedly celebrated their nuptials at a star-studded post-wedding party including Gwyneth Paltrow, Mary J. Blige, Kelly Ripa, Samuel L.Jackson and Star Jones. The extravagant celebrations was so exuberant, that police were called, after neighbors complained of noise when the party passed midnight. Cannon and Carey are reportedly continuing their own celebration, spending the remainder of the week at a farm in East Hampton, New York, that they have rented for $125,000.
