Tom Selleck signs on to compete on ‘Dancing With The Stars’?

This would be a great coupe for ‘Dancing With The Stars’ if it’s true? Former Magnum, PI star Tom Selleck is supposedly onboard to appear on this upcoming seasons DWTS. The scoop though comes from the National Enquirer via Starpulse, who claims the 63-year-old has been talked into strutting his stuff by former Three Men and a Baby co-star Steve Guttenberg, who appeared in the last season of the reality dance show.

A source tells the tabloid: “Executives wanted an older hunk to bring in the baby boomer audience. Tom is incredibly popular with women 40 through 65, and producers were ecstatic when, at Steve’s urging, he expressed interest in competing on the show.”

It sounds plausible but we will have to likely wait until the official cast announcement, which will be on 25 August. The new season of the dance competition will premiere in America on 22 September. Other rumored contestants include singer Toni Braxton and former ‘N Sync star Lance Bass.
