Britney Spears in new promo for MTV Video Music Awards

Britney Spears is making a return to the VMAs (sortof), after making headlines with a disastrous performance at last year’s MTV Video Music Awards. Britney will appear alongside this year’s surprise host Russell Brand in a television ad spot for the September 7th ceremony. The commercial was shot in Hollywood on Tuesday and is set to begin airing later this month, according to E! The spot is “mostly ad-libbed”, with Russell asking Brit for advice about hosting the show,” a source tells E!. The shoot also included a 9,000 pound elephant. Says the source, “The joke of the whole thing is ‘there is an elephant in the room’.”
