Morgan Freeman in the process of divorcing wife

With Morgan Freeman laid up in the hospital after recovering from surgery, he’s caught the attention and scrutiny of the press. A friend/business associate of Morgan’s has confirmed to Access Hollywood that he’s getting a divorce from his wife of 24 years, Myrna Colley-Lee, pictured to the right. The friend who is the actor’s Mississippi-based attorney and business partner Bill Luckett, said they have been separated since December 2007. They don’t have any children together.

Morgan and his female passenger, Demaris Meyer, involved in the one-car accident in Mississippi over the weekend, were airlifted to a hospital in Memphis. Morgan underwent surgery for a nerve damage as a result of a broken arm and elbow. Demaris who was treated for her injuries and released, has been described as a “family friend.” Even if “family friend” doesn’t necessarily mean ‘girlfriend’ bet on a couple of ‘star’ tabloids who do a lot of ‘enquiring’ to put 2 and 2 together to come up with a scandalous story about Demaris being Morgan’s hot mistress anytime now.
