Morgan Freeman Injured in Automobile AccidentWe will update this report as soon as we get more info, but apparently “Dark Knight” star Morgan Freeman has been injured in a serious car accident in Mississippi. TMZ reports via MediaTakeout, that Morgan was in a one car accident around 11:30 PM last night north of the small town of Ruleville. His car went off the shoulder of the road and flipped over. The accident and his injuries were serious enough that the Academy Award winning actor was airlifted from the accident scene to a hospital in Memphis, Tenn. But at this time, Freeman’s condition is unknown, but state troopers reported he was talking at the scene before he was taken to the hospital. The condition of an unidentified female passenger (but apparently not his wife) in the car is also unknown. Alcohol was reportedly not a suspected cause in the accident.

UPDATE: Morgan broke his arm, elbow and has minor shoulder damage from his car crash in Mississippi on Sunday night. The actor and his passenger Demaris Meyer had to be cut from the wreckage and airlifted to the Regional Medical Center in Memphis, Tennessee. Meyer, whose relationship to Freeman is still unknown, suffered minor injuries but is “in good condition”.  He will require some surger, probably tomorrow to repair his damaged arm.  Per authorities, the 71-year-old actor lost control of the vehicle and then over-corrected, causing the compact car to roll over several times.
