Thomas Jane to do HBO comedy pilot

Punisher actor Thomas Jane is reportedly set to star as the lead in HBO’s hourlong pilot “Hung.”

The dark comedy pilot is Jane’s first TV series. It centers on  character Ray played by Jane, a well-endowed struggling middle-aged high school basketball coach who figures out a way to use his best asset.

Alexander Payne (“Sideways”) is directing. For Jane, “Hung” marks a return to HBO, where he starred as Mickey Mantle in the 2001 TV movie “61*.”
Jane is married to ‘Medium’ actress Patricia Arquette.  He recently was in the spotlight for a DUI arrest for which he pleaded out and was given a suspended sentence.
