“Gilmore Girl” Alexis Bledel cast opposite “Good Guy” Scott Porter

Gilmore Girl” Alexis Bledel is set to ‘team’ with “Friday Night Lights” star Scott Porter for Julio DePietro’s romantic comedy “The Good Guy.”   The pair will join a cast that includes Bryan Greenberg, Andrew McCarthy, Aaron Yoo and Anna Chlumsky.

Scott Porter who most recently appeared in “Speed Racer,” will play Tommy, a rising Wall Street star in a budding romance with a new girlfriend, Beth (Bledel). Porter’s character Tommy begins mentoring a seemingly inept new salesman (Greenberg) who befriends Beth, starting a chain of events that might ultimately lead to his downfall.

Aaron Yoo plays Tommy’s crass co-worker, Andrew McCarthy plays  the mean boss,  and Anna Chlumsky plays Beth’s unlucky-in-love friend.
