How’s this for a move to resurrect one’s career. Over two million Germans reportedly tuned in on prime-time TV to watch Brigitte Nielsen getting a total plastic-surgery makeover. Nielsen hopes to revive both her looks and her career prospects at the hands of German plastic surgeon Gerhard Sattler. ‘I know I am the first female celebrity in the world who has allowed herself to be filmed like that in an operating theatre’ said Brigitte, 44. The TV audience is spared no excruciating detail: fat is vacuumed from her thighs, her eyes are Botoxed and those famous breasts are being drained of their silicon to bring her down to more manageable proportions (sort of like letting the air out of a basketball).
The show is entitled “From Old to New; Brigitte Nielsen in the Celebrity Clinic” and viewers will also see Brigitte in upcoming episodes get new teeth and watch every incision and injection as she is remoulded from her head to her toes.
Brigitte the ex-wife of Sly Stallone, is no stranger to cosmetic surgery. At the end of this highly public round, however, she hopes she will make the grade to be able to strip off for Playboy at year’s end, 20 years after she first graced the magazine’s cover.
