Michael J. Fox to return to regular role on TV

Michael J. Fox is in talks to return to TV as a regular in hit firefighter cable TV drama Rescue Me. The actor, who was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease in 1991, and as the symptoms of his disease worsened, he semi-retired from acting in 2000. But now he is slated to play Denis Leary’s love rival on the show.
If negotiations go as planned, the Spin City star will appear in several episodes of the show’s upcoming fifth season, according to Entertainment Weekly.
Fox who is a research advocate, has said in recent past that his optimistic nature, has helped him overcome lows that are related to Parkinson’s Disease sufferers.
He says, “A lot of people with Parkinson’s have clinical depression and it’s difficult for them to deal with what they’re dealing with, plus to have the added baggage of depression… I haven’t had that issue. I’ve been able to stay involved in life and I think that keeps me feeling good.”
